Valganciclovir or Valgan Tablet is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinal infection (retinitis) in adults with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is also used to prevent CMV infection in patients who have had organ transplants from CMV-infected donors.
Cytomegalovirus infection is a common virus infection that can cause no symptoms or symptoms such as fever and fatigue. Severe infection can cause symptoms in the eyes, brain, or other internal organs.
